Always Remember:

                       Commemorating 9/11 After 20 Years

On September 11, 2001 acts of terrorism took the lives of thousands at the World Trade Center in New York City, in a grassy field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. We will always remember the sacrifices of those who lost their lives September 11, 2001.

Special exhbit

The special exhibit features a piece of steel beam from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center, an American Airlines flight attendant uniform worn in NYC on 9/11, and more. Prior to the 20th anniversary, local children created a special commemorative painting honoring those who lost their lives on 9/11 with the help of the Lincoln Arts Institute. The painting was then donated to Lincoln Heritage Museum to be part of this exhibit. The exhibit runs September-December 2021.
