Lincoln Heritage Museum offers the following tour options, depending on the amount of time the visitor has available, the type of tour desired, and visitor ages:
The first floor exhibit area showcases more than one hundred rare and original historic pieces relating to Lincoln and the Civil War.
The Lincoln Heritage Museum Immersion Tour is an immersive audio-visual experience.
From I-55, take exit 126 toward Lincoln. Turn left onto Route 10/Woodlawn Road and continue to Lincoln Parkway. Turn left on Lincoln Parkway and travel 2 miles to Nicholson Road. There is a sign for the Lincoln Heritage Museum at Nicholson. Turn right and continue on Nicholson Road, crossing over a railroad track (.4 miles). The Lincoln Center will be immediately on the right. Enter the Lincoln Center through the doors beneath the triangle pediment. The entrance to Lincoln Heritage Museum is to the right.
Enter Lincoln on Keokuk Street. Travel through stoplights at Kickapoo and Logan Streets and turn right on Ottawa Street. There is a sign for the Lincoln Heritage Museum at Ottawa Street. Follow Ottawa Street .3 miles through the Lincoln College campus. Ottawa Street curves left, and the Lincoln Center is on the left before the railroad crossing. Enter the Lincoln Center through the doors beneath the triangle pediment. The entrance to Lincoln Heritage Museum is to the right.
